WE got up later than the usual 7am - thankfully. We organised a minibus to take us from Lengenfeld to Dresden Airport as the train journey would have taken over 3 hours instead of the 1.5h by bus. Wise choice after all!
We got to Dresden Airport by 1pm and had a good 3 hours to go over course materials, stroll around to get some presents or relax from the full-on week.
Here some more interesting CO2 statistics:
- Carbon Emissions from transport for Group (to and from Germany - flights plus getting to and from Lengenfeld to the airport): 6700 Kg
- Carbon Emissions from transport throughout 1-week trip: 6900 Kg
- Carbon Emissions from flight (9 people): 6200 Kg
- To offset 7000 Kg of CO2 emissions will cost between £100 - £180 (mainly forestry projects or Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) certified projects which is more expensive)
